NEW: Despite 'bump" Dickerson to remain open

Dickerson Hospital officials in Jasper said Wednesday that the hospital will remain "open and has a bright future" despite an issue with late paychecks to staff last week.

"This is just a bump in the road for us," said Hospital Administrator John Tatum. "Our closure has been rumored for seven years. We are dedicated to serve this community."

Dickerson Memorial Hospital has approximately 110 employees.
