 In a surprising twist, Jasper County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Crystal Desormeaux, 21, Thursday morning, Feb. 21, at a relative’s house in Vidor and charged her with capital murder.

Sheriff Ronnie McBride said that Lts. Curtis Frame and Todd Y’Barbo arrested Crystal Desormeaux based on new evidence in the case involving the death of 21-month-old Triston Dobbins, her step-child.
