Obituaries Sally Murchison Adams Sally Murchison Adams, 62, of Jasper died Nov. 17 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 21 at Evergreen Baptist Church in Jasper, with burial following in the Woodville City Cemetery under the direction of Coleman's Mortuary. Survivors include son Simon Murchison of Jasper; daughter Joann Shankle, Darlene Adams and Nicole Adams, all of Jasper; brothers Houston Murchison of Woodville, Ulysses Murchison of Houston, John Murchison of Jasper and Roger Murchison of Lufkin; sisters Doris Barlow and Cola Carter, both of Woodville; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Helen R. Blankenship Helen R. Blankenship, 69, of Jasper died Nov. 17 at her home. Funderal services were held Nov. 20 at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home with burial following at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Rusk. Survivors include husband Jimmy Blankenship; son Jimmy Ray Blankenship of Wakefield, Va. ; sister Eula Smith of Wills Point; and eight grandchildren. Claude K. Johnson Claude K. Johnson, 79, of Deming, N.M. died Nov. 14 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 20 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper. Survivors include wife Joy Johnson, of Deming, N.M.; and son Kenneth Johnson of Clint, Tx. Harold Owen Mobley Harold Owen Mobley, 73, of Spurger died Nov. 16 at his home. Funeral services were held Nov. 18 at Trout Creek Cemetery near Kirbyville under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Survivors include wife Lenora Granger of Lake Charles, La.; son Glen Earl Mobley of Spurger; daughters Sandra Mobley of Vidor and Cindy Griffith of Spurger; brothers B.F. Mobley and Douglas Mobley of the Old Salem Community, and Weldon Mobley of Jasper and Selman Mobley of Silsbee; sisters Paulyne Herrin of League City and Peggy Freeman of Bleakwood; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Gloria Robinson Gloria Robinson, 39, of Jasper died Nov. 10 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 15 at Rockhill Baptist Church, with burial following at the Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Coleman's Mortuary. Suvivors include parents Frank and Dorothy Smith Sr. of Jasper; son Dennis Smith; daughters Pamela Ervin, Ashley Smith and Jasmine Little, all of Jasper; sister Dorothy Runnels of Diboll; brothers Frank Smith Jr. and Jimmy Smith, both of Jasper; and five grandchildren. Jean Booker Samuel Jean Booker Samuel, 60, of Bon Wier died at home Nov. 8. Funeral services were held Nov. 15 at Springhill Baptist Church in Magnolia Springs, with burial following in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Coleman's Mortuary. Survivors include husband Melvin Samuel of Bon Wier; daughters Pamela Bean and Rochelle Hill, both of Ft. Worth; brothers Clifford Booker, Fred Booker and David Booker, all of Magnolia Springs, and Troy Booker of Beaumont; and three grandchildren. Darrell Wayne Saulsbury Darrell Wayne Saulsbury, 45, of Hemphill died Nov. 12 in Rogers, Ark. Funeral services were held Nov. 18 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper. Survivors include daughter Grace M. Saulsbury of Vidor; parents Bobby Joe and Margie Saulsbury of Brookeland; brother David Saulsbury of Vidor and sister Donna Morgan of Humble. |
