Mercy, Angel on the road to recovery

The two starving Great Danes rescued by the Jasper Lakes Area Humane Society are well on the way to recovery, according to the JLAHS holiday newsletter.

They have been dubbed "Mercy" and "Angel" and are currently undergoing heartworm treatment before being spayed. When

declared healthy once again, they will be available for adoption, along with their little buddy "Rufus," a red heeler/terrier mix.

The humane scoiety has a "wish list" for all would-be pet Santas, including blankets, towels, dog and cat food, cat litter, collars, copy paper and postage stamps.

Cash donations this time of year also enable pet foster parents to buy whatever their animals need or help pay for vet treatments.

For more information, call 384-8251 or email jar@jas.net. To see photos of pets currently available for adoption in Jasper, google Jasper Lakes Area Humane Society.
