Mary Louise Hobbs Budro, 72, of Oakhurst, died Nov. 22 at Odyssey House in Conroe.

Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband Leonard Budro of Oakhurst; daughters Donna Ruth Hobbs Ivey of Jasper and Jennifer Budro Aaron of Sea Brook; brother Johnnie Ray Wilson of Oakhurst; 4 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren.

Daniel Earl "Danny" Ellis

Daniel Earl "Danny" Ellis, 73, of Kirbyville died Nov. 21 at his home.

A memorial serivices was held Sat., Nov. 25, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Ellis of Kirbyville; son Donald "Bebo" Ellis; daughter Debra Ellis Buss; brother, James Ellis of Kirbyville; 12 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.

Margie Dodge

Margie Dodge, 88, of Brookeland died Nov. 23 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held Nov. 26 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial following in Brookeland Cemetery.

Survivors include son, Everett Marvin Lawrence Jr. of Jasper; daughters, Pattie Schiavon of Hawaii and Patricia Collins fo Houston; brother Burnice "Buck" Gilbert of Oakwood; sister Dora Gilbert of Oregon; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Ned McCarter

Ned McCarter, 73, of Wiergate, died Nov. 17 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill CME Church with burial following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Coleman's Mortuary.

Survivors include his sons, Eric Charles McCarter and Rodney McCarter, both of San Jose, Calif., and David McCarter of Houston; daughters, Rachael McCarter of Jasper, Penny McCarter of Wiergate and Kimberly Elmore of Houston; brother, Isiah McCarter of Wiergate; sisters, Sarah E. Spikes of Wiergate and Vivian McCarter of Beaumont; 9 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild.

Fatilla Beaty O'Gilbert

Fatilla Beaty O'Gilbert, 89, died Nov. 18 at her home in Kirbyville.

Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville with burial following at Green Lawn Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons, Stephen Paul O'Gilbert, Jessy Samuel O'Gilbert, both of Kirbyville, and Jerrell Anderson O'Gilbert and David Riley, both of Jasper; daughter Dorcus Francis Riley of Beaumont; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Iola Hooks Pulliam

Iola Hooks Pulliam, 79, of Kirbyville died Nov. 26 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held Nov. 28 at E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial to follow at Davis Cemetery in Beulah Springs Community.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Pulliam of Jasper and Harry Pulliam of Missouri City; daughter Sherry Barger of Nacogdoches; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Mary Jane Sowell Rogers

Mary Jane Sowell Rogers, 63, of Mt. Pleasant died Nov. 20 at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services were held Nov. 24 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband Lester Rogers of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, C.B. Sowell of Jasper and Jerry Paul Sowell of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters Helen Swanson and Darlene Simmons, both of Houston and Ruthie Sowell of Lufkin.

Elda Scoggins

Elda Scoggins, 84, of Kirbyville died Nov. 22 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at First United Methodist Church in Kirbyville with burial at Davis Cemetery in Beulah Springs.

Survivors include her husband John F. Scoggins of Kirbyville; sons, Jim Scoggins and John R. Scoggins, both of Kirbyville, Glenn Scoggins of Ocala, Fla. and Steve Scoggins of Tyler; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
