Joint celebration for 7 long-time county employees

Jasper County employees have arranged a retirement party for seven long-time public servants retiring at the end of the year, according to Novie Hammock of the county clerk's office.

The retirement celebration will honor 1-A Judicial District Judge Monte Lawlis, County Treasurer Mary Jane Hancock, County Judge

Joe Folk and his administrative assistant Neva Alexander, Precinct 4 Commissioner Mack Rose, Precinct 2 Commissioner Rod Barger and Precinct 6 Justice of the Peace Jimmy Jones.

The party is open to the public and will be held Dec. 12 from 2-4 p.m. in the district courtroom at the Jasper County Courthouse.
