JVFD taking orders on smoked turkeys

The Jasper Volunteer Fire Department will be taking orders for smoked turkeys and hams through Friday, Dec. 15.

The turkeys will be fully cooked and smoked by Capt. Jack Armstrong.

The average turkey weighs 11-14 pounds and are available for a $30 donation each. The smoked butt hams are also available for a $30 donation. All order will have to be

picked up by Thursday, Dec. 21 at 4 p.m. Delivery is available.

Contributions from fund-raisers in the past have helped the department purchase a fire safety trailer, Jaws of Life rescue tools and fire prevention materials.

To place an order, call JVFD at 383-6168. Leave a voice mail including name, telephone number, type of order and quantity. Orders can be faxed to 384-5437.
