Ben Cline

Ben Cline, 65, of Kirbyville died Dec. 10 at his home.

Memorial Services will be held Wed., Dec. 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the Kirbyville Church of Christ.

Survivors include wife Linda Cline of Kirbyville; son, Ben Cline Jr. of Kirbyville; daughter Melissa Cline of Humble; brothers James Cline of Buna and Thomas Cline of Silsbee; sisters Euleen Butler of Hemphill, Francis Wooten of Baton Rouge, La. and Lawnada Hall of Newton and 9 grandchildren.

Gabriel Broché Curl

Gabriel Broché Curl, 17 months, of Newton died Nov. 29 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held Dec. 4 at Harvest Church in Jasper with burial following in the Liberty Community Cemetery in Newton under the direction of Coleman’s Mortuary.

Survivors include parents Undreus Hartsfield and Cavin Curl, both of Newton; brothers LaDarrin Adams and Gaillin and Guy Curl, all of Newton; sister La Rayvan Curl of Jasper; grandmothers Lori A. Samuel of Beaumont and Renee Garrett of Jasper; grandfathers Robert Samuel of Bon Wier and Bruce Garrett of Jasper.

Jessie V. Adams Fowler

Jessie V. Adams Fowler, 80, of Jamestown Community died Dec. 4 at St. Luke Hospital in Houston.

Funeral services were held Dec. 9 at the Faith Temple Church of God and Christ with burial following in the Pinehill Cemetery under the direction of Coleman’s Mortuary.

Survivors include husband Emerson Fowler of Jamestown; sons Alvin and Lewis Adams, both of Jamestown, Richard Adams of Jasper, Sherman Lee Adams of Beaumont and Gary Adams of Huntsville, daughters Christine Lewis, Clementene White and Twencie Adams, all of Houston, Gloria Cauley of Jamestown, Sheila Fowler and Lorene Adams, both of Jasper; stepchildren Ola Irvine, Mungie Lagrone, Florance Adams and Robert Fowler, all of Jasper; adopted children Loretta Hadnot and Sonya West; four sisters’ 51 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren.

Lindburgh Gipson

Lindburgh Gipson, 79, of Hillister died Dec. 2 at his home.

Funeral services were held Dec. 9 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Woodville with burial following at Hillister Cemetery in Hillister. Survivors include sons

Eddie B. Gipson and Mike Gipson, both of Flint, Mich. and Kerry Gipson of Dallas; daughters Joyce Cooper and Gladys Gipson, both of Flint, and Glenda Barclay and Patricia Fields of Dallas; sister Gladys Arline of Hillister; 28 grandchildren and ninegreat grandchildren.

Pat Griggs

Pat Griggs, 79, of Kirbyville died Dec. 9 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held Dec. 11 at E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial following at Kirbyville Cemetery.

Survivors include son Joe Griggs of Jasper; daughter Mary Brackin of Kirbyville; brother Bob Bateman of Fla.; sister Florrie Fagan of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; fourgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lula Mae Hall

Lula Mae Hall, 94, of Sam Rayburn died Dec. 11 at her home.

Funeral services are pending at Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper.

Robert Carl “Bobby” Protz

Robert Carl “Bobby” Protz, 49, of Dam B died Dec. 5 at his home.

Funeral services were held Dec. 8 at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Trinity.

Survivors include father Carl F. Protz of Woodville; mother Mary Helen Hampton; sons John Micheal Protz; daughter Amiee Range; brothers James Protz and Richard Protz; sisters Carla Bergeron, Deborah Helfrich and Kathleen Lee and five grandchildren.

Lee Etta Spikes

Lee Etta Spikes, 66, of Wiergate died Dec. 5 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Dec. 9 at Greater New Macedonia Baptist Church in Wiergate, with burial following in the Gatson Cemetery under the direction of Coleman’s Mortuary.

Survivors include son James E. Spikes of Jasper; daughters Cathy Cuney and Rose Marie Mays, both of Wiergate, Mary Spikes of Arlington and Cheryl Spikes of Call; three brothers, four sisters, and 20 grandchildren.

Gladys Brandon Brunow Thomas

Gladys Brandon Brunow Thomas, 84, of Brookeland died Dec. 6 at Jasper Nursing & Rehabilitation in Jasper.

Funeral services were held Dec. 8 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial following at Holton Cemetery.

Survivors include daughters Karen Brunow McLane and Robin Brunow Basher, both of Jasper; four grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
