Circuit Riders help H.E.R.O.
By JOANIE KOCHANEK

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the Circuit Riders Christian Motorcycle Ministry, who recently held a rally to collect donations of clothing, bedding, personal care items, canned goods, adult diapers and other needed items for the H.E.R.O. Volunteer Program.

The HERO (Helping the Elderly Realize Opportunities) Program was founded in 1994, to organize community volunteer projects and fundraisers for the benefit of the elderly and disabled members of our local communities. Due to a lack of community resources and limited governmental funding, the needs of these people cannot always be met.

This wonderful Christian ministry not only planned, organized and collected over a truckload of donations, but also delivered it all to the local Adult Protective Services Office for distribution. With warm clothing and perhaps an extra blanket, the needy will be made much more comfortable. Many people will benefit from these gifts, and we are most appreciative.

Circuit Riders, I thank you for your caring ministry and giving spirit.
