DETCOG to host luncheon in Jasper

The Deep East Texas Council of Governments (DETCOG) will hold its annual Christmas luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 21, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Jasper.

The luncheon will start at noon with Father Ron Foshage, from St. Michael’s, delivering the invocation.

Welcoming DETCOG to Jasper will be Jasper County Judge, Joe Folk; Minority Representative, R. C. Horn; Jasper County Commissioner, Charles Shofner; City Commissioner, Joe Clyde

Adams; Robert Stroder from the Lower Neches Valley Authority, Donnie Henson from the Sabine River Authority and Karen Barber from the Angelina Neches River Authority.

The District Judge of the First Judicial District, Joe Bob Golden, will make special presentations to eight retiring county judges from the DETCOG region.

The annual DETCOG “Employee of the Year” Award will be presented to a deserving DETCOG employee, as well as service awards.
