Rowe students deliver cards, holiday cheer

JAZZLYN ANDERSON from Rowe Elementary looks over Myrtie Bush’s shoulder as she and Elbert Smith enjoy Christmas cards hand-made by Rowe students.
Student council officers from Rowe Elementary School sang carols and delivered hand-made Christmas cards to residents of Timberlake Health and Rehabilitation in Jasper.

“It means the world to them to have young people visit,” said activity director Kay Lohr.

Principal Sherida Barnes accompanied Robin Renfro, president, Austin Fairchild, vice president, Jake Dufner, treasurer, and Jazzlyn Anderson, whose mother works at Timberlake.

The students delivered gifts and cards to several recreation rooms and then went in rooms up and down the halls to visit patients who were not as mobile.
