Joy Manchack Caraway

Joy Manchack Caraway, 77, of Jasper died Dec. 19 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 21, at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home, with burial following in Newton City Cemetery.

Survivors include sons Jesse Caraway of Jasper, Joe Caraway of Woodville; stepdaughters Connie Berry of Houston, Alexanderia Manchack of Austin and Wynona Johnson of Bandero; four grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and six step-greatgrandchildren.

Donna Terry Clampitt

Donna Terry Clampitt, 78, died Dec. 13 in Nacogdoches.

Funeral services were held Dec. 16 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with graveside services following at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston.

Survivors include husband Robert “Bob” Clampitt Jr.; daughters Donna Louise Stott of Elizabeth City, NC, Bobbie Ruth Barrington of Houston and Sherry Lynn Christopher of Garrison; sixgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Lula Mae Hall

Lula Mae Hall, 94, died Dec. 11 at her home.

Funeral services were held Dec. 14 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper with burial following at Magnolia Springs Cemetery.

Billy Kines

Billy Kines, 85, died Dec. 15 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Services were held Dec. 19 at Little Hope Cemetery in Beech Grove under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

Survivors include daughter Jo Kines of Dickinson; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Fannie Myrle Massey

Fannie Myrle Massey, 80, died Dec. 17 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Dec. 19 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery.

Survivors include husband Roy D. Massey of Jasper; sons Danny Massey and Dennis Massey, both of Jasper; daughters Nelda Kinsey of Katy and Judy Fountain of Jasper; brother Jack Segrest of Silsbee; sister Sadie Ruth McLeod of Burnett, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Carleen Megason

Carleen Megason, 85, died Dec. 11 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

A private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Survivors include brother Orby McElroy of Anniston, Ala. and two grandchildren.

Wallace “Red” Sells Jr. Wallace “Red” Sells Jr. died Dec. 12 at his residence.

Services were held Dec. 16 at Rose Bloom Baptist church in the Huff Creek Community with burial following at Huff Creek Cemetery.

Survivors include wife Johnnie Mae Sells of Jasper; sons Willie Adams, Charles Sells, Lee Sells, John Sells, Chester Sells and Derrick Sells, all of Jasper; daughters Joyce Sells of Missouri City, Johnnie Harris and Marilyn Joiner, both of Jasper; 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mary Wood

Mary Wood, 91, died Dec. 13 at Timberlake Health & Rehabilitation Center in Jasper.

Funeral services were held Dec. 16 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home with burial following at Weeks Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include son Leo Wood of New Caney; daughters Joyce Williams of Houston, Pauline Duckworth of New Caney and Dorothy McClellen and Marie Ray, both of Jasper.

J. C. Ward

J. C. Ward died Dec. 9 according to Smith Funeral Home in Newton.

Amemorial service will be at a later date according to the family.

Survivors include son Arnold Wayne Ward of Silsbee; brother Weldon Cagle of Buna; sisters Hazel Fiddles of Penn., Elsia Robinson of Jasper, and Alice Wheat of Barlow Lake and two grandchildren.
