      New Year’s party The First Baptist Church of Jasper will hold a New Year’s Eve party Dec. 31 from 7-10 p.m. in the activity building. Gumbo will be provided; attendees are asked to bring a snack or dessert. The usual Wednesday night supper will not be held Dec. 27.
