Dickerson to speak at lunch

The Newton Lions Club will meet for lunch Thursday, Jan. 4, at noon in the First Baptist Church in Newton.

Guest speaker will be Linda Dickerson, Jasper County Indigent Health Care Program Administrative Director. Dickerson’s presentation is entitled: “So - You Think There is a Program to Cover That.” Her vision for indigent health care is to help people who will, in turn, contribute in some way to society to continue to receive assistance.

The longer-term goal is helping people become proud of themselves and their communities.
