Gibson

Jasper High School

Katelynn Gibson, a senior at Jasper High School, has been named student of the week for Jan. 8-12.

"Katelynn is deserving of recognition because she works hard as an office aide to assist the guidance office," said faculty members Jennifer Herrington and Janeta Brewster. "She has taken on the responsibility to organize and update the college information as it comes in from various institutions. This helps all students in the planning of their future."

Gibson is the daughter of Dana Rogers.

Jasper Junior High School

Alisha White, an eighth grade student, has been selected as the Jasper Junior High School student of the week for Jan. 8- 12.

"Alisha is a hard working student. One of her outstanding characteristics is her desire to be helpful. She always gets busy as soon as she comes to class, never complains and always has her work done," said teacher Peggy Willoughby.

"She is quick to take up papers, pass out papers, or do anything else to help me or her classmates."

White enjoys playing basketball and riding horses and four-wheelers during her spare time. Her favorite subject is math.
