Nugent to wed Buchanan at Hillcrest Baptist Church

David and Vickie Nugent of Jasper announce the engagement of their daughter Holly Kay Nugent to Matthew Tyler Buchanan, both of Houston.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Art and Carol Knop of West Monroe, La., and Johnny and Margie Nugent of Pine Prairie, La.

The groom-elect is the son of Terry Buchanan of Hollywood, Fla., and Mary Ellen Buchanan of Houston.

He is the grandson of Kenneth and Maxine Buchanan of Denison, Iowa, Mary Ellen Ellingson of Menifee, Calif., and the late Winston Ellingson and the late Francis Nickerson.

The wedding is set for Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper.

The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Spurger High School and in 2004 earned a master's degree from Texas State University in San Marcos.

She is currently employed as a speech pathologist at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.

The groom-elect is a 2004 graduate of Western Illinois University and is currently employed at IKG Industries in Houston.
