Annual TP&W Jasper Youth Trout Derby a success

      For the sixth year in a row the Texas Parks and Wildlife Inland Fisheries Division of Jasper held its annual Youth Trout Derby at the Jasper City Park pond. The park pond was warm and wonderful place to be on Saturday Jan. 13 with over 370 young anglers and their families.

Jasper falls in soccer scrimmage with WO-S

      The Jasper Bulldog soccer team scrimmaged West Orange-Stark Jan. 5, taking a 7-0 win over the Mustangs. Sophomore Guillermo Hernandez scored two goals as did freshman Ossama Zafar. Sophomore Earnesto Medrano, junior Zach Riggins and senior Jose Navarro contributed one goal each.
