Gingerich to speak at Lions lunch

Guest speaker at the Newton Lions Club lunch tomorrow, Jan. 18, at noon at First Baptist Church will be Marlin Gingerich, project manager for the Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) who helped after Hurricane Rita.

The Mennonites helped with reconstruction and recovery for six months after the storm. They cleared trees and debris and repaired numerous homes. MDS members are in the area again, staying at the First Baptist Encampment.
