Students of the week
Jasper High School has selected Secunda Barlow as student of the week for Jan. 15-19. The faculty who recommended Barlow include: Diane Erwin, Stephen Casey and Becki Mayhar, who said, "Secunda is deserving of recognition because she always has a positive attitude. She is always happy and does her best on everything that she is assigned. Secunda helps other students in making the right choices." Barlow is the daughter of LaShunda Adams. Jasper Junior High School Anthony Tucker has been selected student of the week at Jasper Junior High School for the week of Jan. 16-19. "Anthony is a superb student who is always on tasks with all of his assignments. He is never late for class and I never have to tell him to be quiet in class," said teacher Beverly Dark. "Anthony participates in all activities and he is very respectful towards others. He is a great student with wonderful potentials." Tucker enjoys hunting and riding four wheelers during his spare time. His favorite subject is science.
