In the Jan. 3 story on the East End Volunteer Fire Department banquet, The Jasper Newsboy inadvertently confused Robert Gary and Bob Gary.

Robert Gary received the Chief's Award and serves as president of the department.

Bob Gary, shown in the photo on page 3A presenting the Fireperson of the Year award to Karen Oxley, is chief of the department.
