Jasper couple celebrates 50 years

Claude and Lillie Adams of Jasper celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception Dec. 23 at the Sam Rayburn Country Club hosted by their sons, Donald Cheatham of Houston and James Cheatham of Mechanicsburg, Penn.

The couple was married in the Huff Creek area Dec. 22, 1956.

In addition to their two sons, they have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
