Obituaries Roy Lee Hardin Roy Lee Hardin, 76, of Jasper died at his residence Dec. 24. Memorial Services were held Jan. 11 at Dixie Baptist Church under the direction of Robinson Community Funeral Home. Survivors include wife Ollie Mae Hardin of Dallas, sons Carlton Haywood of Newton, Roy Lee Hardin Jr., Abraham Lee Hardin and Whittaker Jarvis Hardin, all of Dallas; daughters Phyllis Anita Hardin Reese, Emma Christina Sterns, Faye Etta Hardin, Isabella Denise French, Ollie Jean Hardin, Lula Mae Hardin, Lena Mae Hardin, Christiaan Ella Devon Hardin, Schnell Renee Mango and Ozear Danielle Hardin, all of Dallas; sisters Baby Ray Hardin of St. Martinville, Gloria Jean Gasaway of Houston and Jenova Bullard of San Bernardino, Calif.; brothers Freeman Hardin Sr. of Oakhill, Calif. and Jarvis Hardin Jr. of Austin; 39 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Dezerick Ramone Hopson Dezerick Ramone Hopson, 30, or Kirbyville died Jan. 9 at his residence in Kirbyville. Services were held Jan. 13 at West Side Church of Christ, with burial following in the Jasper City Cemetery under the direction of Robinson Community Funeral Home. Survivors include mother Delorise Silas Cooper of Kirbyville; father Cuba Hopson of Grenada, Ms.; brothers Eric Silas of Kirbyville, Mario Hopson of Atlanta, Ga., Michael Binns of Nashville, Tenn., Rodney Webb of Wilmer, Ark., Cuba Hopson III of Chicago, Ill.; step-brothers Curtis Cooper Jr. of Beaumont, Tim Cooper of Japan, Kendrick Caffy of Grenada, Ms.; step-sisters Ermiqua Cooper of Jasper, Kendra Hopson of Grenada, Ms., Lorrie Chretien of Katy; and grandmother Dorothy Thompson of Kirbyville. Beth Ann Keen Beth Ann Keen, 51, of Jasper died Jan. 8 at home. Graveside services were held Jan. 11 at Allen Cemetery in Beech Grove under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Survivors include parents L.D. and Lucy Keen of Jasper; sister Kathy Cook of Atlanta, Ga. and brother Rodney Keen of Jasper. John Darwin Loyd John Darwin Loyd, 66, of Call died Jan. 8 at his home. Funeral services were held Jan. 10 at E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with military graveside services at Trout Creek Cemetery. Survivors include wife Vicki Loyd of Call; sons Tom Loyd of Kirbyville and Michael Loyd of Call; daughters June Devillier of Kingwood, Heather Loyd of North Carolina and Michelle Kolker of Germany; mother June Pierce of Groves; sisters Robbie Reed of Groves, Prisci Davenport of Beaumont and Angie Mitchell of Livingston; and seven grandchildren. Mike Marshall Mike Marshall, 47, of Jasper died Jan. 11 at Palestine Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Jan. 14 at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home, with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery. Survivors include parents Link and Geneva Marshall of Jasper; son Michael Lane Marshall of Tenaha; daughters Angel DuCroz and Jessica Marshall White, both of Tenaha; brother Kenneth Marshall of Elkhart; three grandchildren; and fiancee Rhonda Miller of Newton. John F. Scoggins John F. Scoggins, 87, ofKirbyville died Jan. 4 at St. Mary's Hospital in Port Arthur. Funeral services were held Jan. 6 at First United Methodist Church in Kirbyville, with burial and Masonic Rites following at Davis Cemetery in Beulah Springs Community under the direction of E.E. Stringer Funeral Homes. Survivors include sons Jime Scoggins and John Scoggins, both of Kirbyville, Glenn Scoggins of Ocala, Fla., and Steve Scoggins of Tyler ; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. |
