Jasper falls in soccer scrimmage with WO-S

The Jasper Bulldog soccer team scrimmaged West Orange-Stark Jan. 5, taking a 7-0 win over the Mustangs.

Sophomore Guillermo Hernandez scored two goals as did freshman Ossama Zafar. Sophomore Earnesto Medrano, junior Zach Riggins and senior Jose Navarro contributed one goal each.

Riggins and Navarro had two assists each; juniors Kaleb Burrows and Todd Shipman had one each.

The Bulldogs opened their regular season last night against Vidor and will play their first district game, Friday, Jan. 30, with Henderson. Game time is 6 p.m.
