Dora McFarland Coleman

Dora McFarland Coleman, 59, of Jasper died Jan. 20 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 26, at the Lone Star District Church at 11 a.m., with burial following in the Gilgal Cemetery under the direction of Coleman's Mortuary.

Survivors include husband George C. Coleman of Jasper; mother Sadie McFarland of Jasper, children Antonio Horn, Samuel Horn and Marion Lane, all of Jasper; step-daughters Angela Hughes and LaDonna Smith, both of Houston; sister Alice F. Cooper of Jasper; brothers M.E. McFarland Sr. and Samuel Forward, both of Jasper; and 14 grandchildren.

June Collins

June Collins, 63, of Jasper died Jan. 16 at her home.

Funeral services were held Jan. 19 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home, followed by private cremation services.

Survivors include husband Kevin Collins of Jasper; daughter Denise Quick of Jasper; sons Robert Bowman of Brookhaven, Miss., Lance Cobb of Kirbyville and Ray Pearson of Houston; sisters Mary Vizueth of Beaumont and Diana Watson of Jasper; brother Howard Rice of Buna; and six grandchildren.

Hattie B. Conner

Hattie B. Conner, 62, of Bon Wier died Jan. 13 at Shreveport Manor Guest Care in Shreveport, La.

Funeral services were held Jan. 17 at the Church of God in Christ in Bon Wier, with burial following at Belegrade Cemetery under the direction of Robinson Community Funeral Home.

Survivors include husband Clyde Conner Sr. of Bon Wier; son Clyde Conner Jr. of Jasper; daughters Peggy Conner of Shreveport, La., and Geneva Conner and Lakisha Conner of Bon Wier; brother Lester Samuel of Bon Wier; sister Ora Jackson of Bon Wier; eight grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

James Washington

James Washington, 62, of Alexandria, La., died Jan. 13 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held Jan. 20 at Antioch Baptist Church in Newton, with burial following in Young Blood Cemetery in Newton under the direction of Robinson Community Funeral Home.

Survivors include sons Eugene Washington of Los Angeles, Calif., Gerald Washington of Washington, D.C.; daughter Chreicee Washington of Los Angeles, Calif.; brothers H.D. Washington and Frank Washington of Los Angeles, Calif., Ronald Washington of Newton and Thomas Jefferson Washington of Topeka, Kan.; sisters Barbara Jean Washington of Newton and Carrie Lee Pruden of Alexandria, La.; and one grandchild.
