Newton fairgrounds site for Rice's 60th anniversary party

Henry Cecil and Lois McFarland Rice of Ancoco, La., will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in February.

The couple wed Feb. 22, 1947 in Pineland. Their children will host a reception Feb. 3 at the Newton County fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The children are Tom Rice of Humble, Cecil Rice and Sudie Melton, both of Huffman, and Betty Evans of Wiergate.

They also have seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
