Wanda M. Damrel, 78, of Beaumont died Jan. 24 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Graveside services were held Jan. 28 at Kirbyville Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughters Patti Bierhalter of Lumberton, and Joani Lawrence of Beaumont and 4 grandchildren.

Annie Monique (Mears) Hancock

Annie Monique (Mears) Hancock, 90, of Jasper died on Jan. 25 in a Lufkin hospital.

Funeral services were held Jan. 27 at the Carroway- Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery in Jasper.

Geraldine Mashaw

Geraldine Mashaw, 73, of Jasper died Jan. 27 at Memorial Health Center of East Texas in Lufkin.

Funeral services were held Jan. 30 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband J.W. Mashaw of Jasper; son, James W. Day of Beaumont; daughters Sara Rutledge of Magnolia Springs and Vicki Williams of Kirbyville; 6 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Inez Parker Sowell

Inez Parker Sowell, 75, of San Augustine died Jan. 24 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Jan. 26 at Old Norwood Primitive Baptist Church in the Norwood Community with burial to follow in Sowell Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband Lester Sowell of San Augustine; sons, DeWyatt Sowell and Tim Sowell, both of San Augustine; daughter Yvonne Warren of Jasper; brother J.W. Parker of Norwood; sister Bennie Brookshire of Norwood; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-greatgrandchild.

Jessica Brooke Smith

Jessica Brooke Smith, 27, of Erin died Jan. 23 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services were held Jan. 26 at Erin Missionary Baptist Church with burial following at Erin Cemetery under the direction of E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.

Survivors include her parents, Mert and David Smith of Erin; brother, Chad David Smith of Kirbyville; sisters April Morgan of Erin and Marsha Lowrence of San Antonio; and grandmother, Myrtie Smith of Erin.

Melba Hollister Smith

Melba Hollister Smith, 85, of Jasper died Jan. 26 at Renaissance Hospital in Groves.

Graveside services were held Jan. 29 at Evergreen Cemetery n Jasper under the director of Stinger & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.

Hattie Mae Stewart

Hattie Mae Stewart, 88, of Jasper died Jan. 27 at Jasper Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside services were held Jan. 29 at Weeks Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.

Survivors include her sons, Raymond H. Parker and Ruben C. Parker Jr., both of Jasper; daughters, Betty J. Mays and Brenda Oliver, both of Jasper; sisters Joyce Wolf of Binghamton, NY and Eugene Riley of Tyler; 12 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
