Students of the Week
Kyleigh Smith has been selected the Jasper High School student of the week for the week of Feb. 5-9. "Kyleigh is committed to her education. She is involved in her church, DECA and the Bulldogs for Christ while maintaining an A average," according to teacher Charlotte Odom. Smith is the daughter of Dennis and Ladonna Smith. Jasper Junior High School Jasmine Larkin, a seventh grade student at Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as student of the week for Feb. 6-9. "Jasmine is just a pleasure to have in class. She always has her assignments completed on time and is willing to go the extra mile doing more work," said teacher Beverly Dark. "Jasmine is quiet and respectful to everyone around her. Not only does she take pride in her work, she never complains about having to do too much work, which is something rarely seen in a student her age." Larkin enjoys shopping, skating and spending time with her family during her spare time. Her favorite subject is reading.
She is the daughter of Richard and Mary Lee Larkin.
