Valentine's at Elijah's helps CASA

Elijah's Cafe will repeat the very successful Valentine's benefit breakfast for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Feb. 14 from 7-9 a.m., according to CASA advocate Judy Biscamp.

The CASA program aides abused, neglected and abandoned children in the court system.

Elijah's owner Robbie Lovett opens the restaurant and donates all of the food for a celebrity breakfast that raised almost $14,000 last year, according to Biscamp.

Area businesses and individuals pay anywhere from $100 to $2,500 to sponsor a table.

Biscamp said, "The real fun begins when local dignitaries don CASA aprons and serve as waitstaff."

Tickets are $10 at the door. For more information, or to volunteer with CASA, call 384-2272.
