Dickerson

Jasper High School

Abby Dickerson is Jasper High School's student of the week for Feb. 12- 16.

"Abby is in many clubs and organizations, such as National Honor Society. She is also in cheerleading, softball and track. In addition, she is senior class secretary and in the top 10 percent of her class," according to recommending faculty Kenneth Hodge.

Dickerson is the daughter of Larry and Judy Dickerson.

Jasper Junior High School

Jame' Ryan, an eight grade student at Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as student of the week for Feb. 12-16.

"Jame' is one of the few students who can communicate on many different levels. She has the ability to speak with both underclassmen and adults," said teacher Howard Bailey. "She is always determined and focused on excellence in every project put in front of her, and is a natural leader within the classroom."

Ryan is very involved in church youth activities at First United Methodist Church of Jasper. She also enjoys cheerleading and playing the flute and piano during her spare time. Her favorite subject is algebra.
