JPD nabs suspects in robbery

An 18-year-old Jasper man was arrested and charged with the robbery of the Sonic Drive In on East Gibson Street.

According to Jasper Police arrest reports, Jasper detectives Derek Woods and Mike Poindexter arrested Cory Christopher Harris.

Records indicate that officers were also able to recover some of the money taken during the robbery.

Harris is presently being held on a $52,000 bond at the Jasper County jail.

Police were called to the business at 11 p.m. Feb. 1 after the manager reported that she had been attacked after closing. At first, police believed two suspects were involved with the robbery.
