Jasper High School

Jordan Land is Jasper High School's student of the week for Feb. 26-Mar.2

"Jordan Land is the kind of student who can make a difference in a class. His willingness to try new ideas and to give any assignment of his best effort makes him a student that teachers enjoy in their class. Jordan wins friends easily and has a positive influence on his classmates. He encourages his classmates to put forth their best efforts, and everyone accomplishes more when he is in their class," said teacher Becky French.

He is the son of Charles and Loranda Land.

Jasper Junior High

Kurt Haas, an eighth grade student at Jasper Junior High School, has been selected student of the week Feb. 27- March 2.

"Kurt exemplifies the qualities of integrity, curiosity, imagination, dependability and tenacity for the task at hand that a teacher always hopes to see in her students," said teacher Janet Edwards. "Kurt shows great promise. His current dream is to become an architect. But whatever career path he may choose, I believe he will achieve a standard of excellence far beyond the ordinary. I'm honored to be his science teacher this year."

Haas

Haas enjoys hunting and fishing during his spare time. His favorite subject is science.

He is the son of Darrell and Samantha Haas.
