Nugent, Buchanan marry at Hillcrest
The bride is the daughter of David and Vickie Nugent of Jasper, and the granddaughter of Johnny and Margie Nugent of Pine Prairie, LA and Art and Carol Knop of West Monroe, LA. The groom is the son of Terry Buchanan of Hollywood, FL., and Mary Ellen Buchanan of Houston, and the grandson of Kenneth and Maxine Buchanan of Denison, IA., Mary Ellen Ellingson of Menifee, CA., the late Winston Ellingson and the late Francis Nickerson. Emily Hopkins of Philadelphia, PA served as matron of honor. Jennifer McKethan of Austin served as maid of honor. Jessica Fant of Lufkin and Camillion McDonald of San Marcos were the bride's attendants. Ryan Eberhard of Valparaiso, Ind. was best man. Peter Rodriguez of Machesney Park, Ill., Mike Hall of New Lenox, Ill., and James Montgomery of Tomball were the groomsmen. Marcus McDonald of San Marcos and Richard Worley of Austin were ushers. Molly Ivans and Maggie Ivans both of Spurger were members of the house party. The bride wore a white Maggie Sottero gown. Her attendants wore claret designs by Alfred Sung. Musical selections were "The Very Thought of You" sung by Kasey Boughan of Spurger and Rogers and Hammerstein's "I Have Dreamed" sung by Kasey Boughan and Jeff Baergen of San Marcus. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the couples honor at Hillcrest Baptist Church Family Life Center. The wedding trip was to the tropical island of St. Lucia. |
