Tiger Truck, a company with its headquarters in Dallas, has announced its commitment to expand its operations to Jasper.

Sources close to the operation say the company has purchased the former LP sawmill on U.S. Highway 63 East.

The company is expected to formally announce the plans on Monday, March 12 in a press conference slated for the Lone Star Youth Community Center, located at 750 Burch in Jasper.

Members of the Tiger Truck staff including pres- ident Mike Ward are expected to attend the event and the public is invited.

Tiger Truck has been producing a series of light utility trucks and vans for offroad use since 1999. All Tiger vehicles meet the stringent CARB/EPA standards and are available powered by a variety of fuels, electric motor or Hybrid combinations and include standard shift or automatic transmissions, according to the Tiger Truck website.

Tiger Truck is a privately held international company with distribution outlets in Central America and the Caribbean basin and maintains its headquarters in Dallas.
