Head start sign-ups

The Jasper County Home Base and Center Base Head Start programs are currently accepting enrollment through May 18.

Head Start provides services to three and fouryear old children enrolled in the program.

The services include comprehensive educational development, speech, hearing and educational screenings, dental care, medical screening and follow up services as needed.

Head Start also works with children who have special needs and their families. Head Start works with other agencies in the community to provide full range of services needed by the child with special needs.

To obtain and submit an application for enrollment, contact Jasper County Home Based Head Start Program at 1013 Helen Street in Jasper or call 383- 0867 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Applicants will have to show proof of income, the child's birth certificate and a shot record.
