Myrtle Rayburn Thompson Beard

Myrtle Rayburn Thompson Beard, 87, of Pineland died Feb. 25 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Feb. 28 at the Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill with burial following in the Ebenezer Cemetery.

Survivors include her son, Robert L. Beard of Six Mile; daughters, Myrtle Jane Speight and Ida Mac Beard, both of Pineland and Mary Covington of Rockwall; sister, Ruby Mae Worry of Lumberton; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Vera "Viola" Garlington Gleghorn

Vera "Viola" Garlington Gleghorn, 93, of Brookeland died March 1 at Timberlake Health & Rehabilitation in Jasper.

Graveside services were held March 3 at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home.

Annie Mae Jones

Annie Mae Jones, 86, of Jasper died Feb. 28 at Jasper Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services were held March 2 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home with burial following at North Baptist Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons, James Jones of Jasper and Lewis Jones of Groveton; daughter Willie Mae Jacks of Beaumont; sisters, Ruby Lee Williams and Vertis Y'Barbo, both of Jasper; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Clyde Lummus

Clyde Lummus, 70, of Kirbyville, died March 4 at Jasper Memorial Hospital

Funeral services were held March 6 at E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial following at Friendship Cemetery.

Survivors include his w i f e , Rose Lummus of Kirbyville; sons, Edward Lummus of Wichita, Kan., Dusty Lummus and Williams Lummus, both of Kirbyville; daughter, Antie Smith of Beaumont, and Joni Concienne of LaBelle; brother, Dorman Lummus of Kirbyville; sisters, Shirley Fogarty, Pauline Herrin and Linda Brown, all of Vidor, and Ann Boyett of Kirbyville; and 6 grandchildren.

Mack Malone

Mack Malone, 81, of Kirbyville died Feb. 27 at his home.

Funeral services were held March 2, at Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville with burial following at Kirbyville Cemetery, under the direction of E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Malone of Kirbyville; sons, Craig Malone and Jerry Malone, both of Kirbyville; sisters, Jimmie Taylor and Sue Kelley, both of Winnfield, La.; and 1 grandchild.

Flora Ester Kube Bienvenue Miller

Flora Ester Kube Bienvenue Miller, 90, of Jasper died March 3 in Sugar Land.

Funeral services will be held today, March 7 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Jasper with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home.

Survivors include her sons, Reynolds Joseph Bienvenue (J.R.) and Welton Ernest Miller (Archie); brother, Wilbert Kube of Nacogdoches; and 3 grandchildren.

James A. "Andy" Myers

James A. "Andy" Myers, 57, of Holly Springs died March 1 at his home.

Graveside services were held March 3 at Magnolia Cemetery in Holly Springs, under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.

Survivors include his mother, Lois Myers of Holly Springs; brothers, Mike Myers of Holly Springs and Bobby Suri of Beaumont and sister, Patti Cormack of Conroe.
