Civil War re-enacted in Sabine County

The Sabine County Historical Foundation will hold a Civil War re-enactment March 17-18 at Pratt House in Hemphill.

Living history demonstrations all day will include quilting demonstrations, civilian camp life, living history of soldiers, Suttler Sue creations and craft and food booths.

Saturday, March 17, Pratt House will be open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Scheduled events include Rayburn Country Dulcimers, 10:30 a.m.; Alabama Coushatta tribal dances, noon; a Civil War battle, 2 p.m.

Sunday, March 18, hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Scheduled events include a non-denominational church service at 10 a.m. and a Civil War battle at 3 p.m.

Admission is $5 adults, $2 students, children 5 and under, free. Proceeds will help restore Pratt House.
