Sheriff's deputies seeking information on shootings
      In the past weeks the Jasper County sheriff's department has found two horses shot and left to die, according to Captain Stacey Chambers. On Feb. 20, Deputy Jeff Richardson responded to a report of a horse tied to a tree in the woods on U.S. Highway 63 west of Jasper.

      Diamond Marie-Fate Barrow Nathaniel Barrow and Pam Stanley of Newton announce the birth of their daughter, Diamond Marie-Fate, born Feb. 28 at 8:36 p.m. at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital. He weighed 5 pounds 1/2 ounce and was 18 1/2 inches long.
