Seale represents Jasper at Dogwood Festival

Seale
Emily Ann Seale will represent Jasper in the 2007 Tyler County Dogwood Festival in Woodville at the Queen's Parade April 7 at 2 p.m. and the coronation at 7:30 p.m.

Seale is the great-granddaughter of James E. Wheat, who founded the Dogwood Festival. In 1938 Judge Wheat introduced the idea of a spring festival to celebrate the completion of U.S. Highway 190.

Wheat's son, Josiah Wheat, served for decades as Dogwood festival director; he died in 1997.

Seale is the daughter of Beth Ann Seale and Steve Seale of Jasper. She is a senior at Jasper High School.
