Tickets for Dogwood 'Glory' on sale "Glory and Good Times of Dogwoods Past," an original play written and directed by Ted Watts, will re-enact highlights from 64 years of Dogwood Festivals. The Tyler Dogwood County Festival in Woodville runs this Friday and Saturday, March 30-31, and again Saturday, April 7. This is Western Weekend, with trailrides coming in from all over and a rodeo beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday. The trailride parade, the second largest in Texas, is at 2 p.m., rodeo at 4:30 p.m. and western dance 8 p.m. to midnight. The following Saturday, April 7, is Dogwood Weekend, with a Dogwood Dash at 8 a.m., arts and crafts and antique autos from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and the Variety Touring Society motorcycles from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Heritage Village will be open for tours and shopping from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Pickett House restaurant at the Heritage Village is open 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday. The queen's parade is at 2 p.m. and the queen's coronation and the historical play with Tyler County superstars will be in the Dogwood amphitheater at 7:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at dusk.
