Brookland earns selections on all-district teams

Brookeland placed five boys on the District 27-A All-District squad while the girls garnered five spots as well.

For the boys, Brookeland placed Tommy Smith, Justin Bentley and Zack Garrett on the team while Kendall Garrett and Casey Lopez gained honorable mention nods.

Goodrich dominated the boys' squad with three selections including Kevin Henderson being named Most Valuable Player of the district while Goodrich coach Lester King earned Coach of the Year honors.

For the girls, Jessica Johnston and Laura Gilbert were named to the squad while Tamara Brooks, Amanda Wood and Jordan Moon gained honorable mention selections.

Leggett's Brittney Jefferson and Goodrich's Paigen Gilford were named co-most valuable players for the girls while Leggett coach Terri Barlow and Goodrich's coach Pinellafie Gilford shared the coach of the year honors.
