The St. Michael's Catholic Cookbook with over 300 recipes is now on sale for $10, according to cookbook chairperson Blanca Moore.

Ron Foshage, pastor of St. Michael's, says in the foreword, "All proceeds from the sale of this cookbook will help with the many needs of our community."

Moore's friends and family brought an international flavor to the book with recipes from Mexico and Spain. Moore's friends Berryl Deveraux and Carolynne Murrell of Australia also contributed award-winning recipes from the Darwin Royal Cooking competition in Australia.

Dorothy Lovett, Mary Ashy, Fran Lawrence and Sheila Ratcliff, all co-chairs on the cookbook committee, also solicited recipes from friends in Jasper, Newton, Woodville, Silsbee, Beaumont, Orange, Kountze and Nederland.

Only 300 copies are available. Moore and Lovett said they have already sold through one box and are planning to sell the books at the Belle Jim Hotel at a date to be announced after Easter.
