Jasmine Cheatham

Jasper High School

Jasmine Cheatham is Jasper High School's student of the week for March 26-30.

"Jasmine Cheatham is a wonderful student who cares about learning and seeks to learn as much as she can in every class," said teacher Becky French. "Every teacher would be glad to have such a diligent student in class. Her commitment to learning brings out her best capabilities and she has a positive influence on her class. Jasmine always had thoughtful comments to chare that make class discussions better. These attributes make Jasmine Cheatham a great role model for younger students."

She is the daughter of Terrie Sharp.

Jasper Junior High

Shelbie Carroll, a seventh grade student at Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as student of the week April 2-5.

"Shelbie is a very conscientious student. She always has a great attitude and is willing to help other students during group work," said teacher Christina Jackson. "In addition, she is always on task and is very respectful of others."

Carroll enjoys participating in several sports and swimming during her spare time. Her favorite subject is reading.
