Dennis Byerly

Dennis Byerly, 57, died March 22 and was cremated under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Byerly of Jasper; son Dustin Dale Byerly of Kirbyville; brothers Tracy Byerly of Jasper and Carl Byerly of Vidor.

Lucian Fussell

Lucian Fussell, 84, of Kirbyville died March 27 in Beaumont. Funeral services were held March 30 at E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial following at Magnolia Springs cemetery.

Survivors include sons Roger Fussell of Silsbee, Ricky Fussell and Randy Fussell, both of Kirbyville; daughter Robin Smathers of Kirbyville; brothers Nay Fussell and D.L. Fussell Jr., both of Kirbyville; sister Florene Bierhalter of Kirbyville; and 12 grandchildren.

Jerry Mareland Johnson

Jerry Mareland Johnson, 58, of Zavalla died March 26 in a local hospital. Funeral services were held March 29 in the Carroway- Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Huntington Oddfellows Cemetery.

Survivors in his wife Johnnie Johnson of Zavalla; daughter Krystal Hampton of League City; brothers Kyle Johnson of Lufkin and Hank Johnson of Concord, CA., Dwight Walker of Huntington; and two grandchildren.
