Newsboy photo/ Sharon Kerr DRESSED FOR DERBY DAY,Woman's Civic Club president Darlene Nolen and government committee chair Audry Hudsen are ready to enjoy the Kentucky Derby Day luncheon fundraiser tomorrow, April 12, at 11:30 at the Swann Hotel in Jasper.
Tomorrow, April 12, the Woman's Civic Club of Jasper is pulling a switch on their regular monthly meeting and moving to a tent on the grounds of the historic Swann Hotel.

They will host a Kentucky Derby luncheon fund-raiser open to everyone, men and women, at 11:30 a.m.

"The sound track of music from past Derby luncheons will be playing to set the mood," president Darlene Nolen said, " and a lot of the Woman's Civic Club members will be dressed in elegant hats, but special dress is not required."

Coca-Cola, as part of their centennial celebration, will furnish beverages. The meal is catered by the Belle Jim Hotel and will include Brown Derby pie.

Proceeds from the $15 ticket sale and the silent auction go to support the many service activities of the Woman's Civic Club.

To RSVP, call 384-8759 and leave a message.
