Jasper falls 11-0 to touted Bridge City
By GEORGIA PURDY Newsboy Correspondent

The Jasper Lady Bulldogs took two losses last week, 11-0 to state-ranked Bridge City Tuesday and 9-5 to Hamshire-Fannett Thursday.

"Bridge City's pitching is excellent and they are ranked second in the state," Coach Nancy Walker said. "Against Hamshire-Fannett, we made too many errors again and left too many runners on base."

Jasper had five hits against Hamshire-Fannett.

Haley Walker hit a triple, a double, had two RBI's and stole home for one run. Abby Dickerson hit a stand up double. Chanel Lewis hit a stand-up triple and had one RBI. Stormie Shivers hit two singles and Laura Fincannon singled.

"Basically, they just outhit us," Walker said. "They had 11 hits to our seven."

Jasper will be on the road Thursday against West Orange-Stark and at home Saturday against Hardin- Jefferson. Game time Saturday is 6 p.m.
