Motor Sports This Friday, April 20, Motorama Speedway swings open its gates for the first SUPR Late Model show to come to the Golden Triangle in eight years. Professional drivers from seven southern states will compete for high stakes and national points on this tour. The high tech, sleek appearance of the cars as well as the top contenders who drive at break neck speed, have made them a favorite among race fans. Flagging the late model portion of the show this week end, will be Beaumonter, David Corbello. During the week, David runs Cardinal Glass Co. but on the week end he grabs a set of racing flags and travels with the SUPR tour. Racing on the same program will be three of the regular Motorama racing classes: modifieds, pure stock and Jr. mini stocks. The mini stocks are a four cylinder class for boys and girls 12 years and older.
Motorama is located on W. Hwy.90 between Beaumont and China. Gates open every Friday at 5 p.m. with racing underway at 8 p.m. Call 409-752-7200 or visit www.motoramaspeedway. com. for more racing information. |
