Report your cleanup campaigns to KJB

If your organization is helping to pick up trash or recycle, Patty Shaw needs you to brag about it.

Shaw is head of Keep Jasper Beautiful (KJB), the organization working on litter control, recycling, and beautification throughout Jasper County. When groups like scouts report their numbers - number of volunteers, hours worked, amounts collected - it enables KJB to apply for grants and awards to fund more cleanups.

KJB will hold luncheons the first Tuesday each month at 11:30 a.m. at the Woman's Civic Club building at 156 W. Milam in Jasper; the next meeting is May 1. Pamphlets with cleanup report forms are available from the Jasper Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, or reports can be emailed to pgjs@cmaaccess. com, or call Shaw at 384-6760.
