Students of the week

Hadnot

Jasper High School Brittney Hadnot, a senior at Jasper High School, has been selected the student of the week for April 30 - May 4.

"Brittney's involvement in school and community defines her success. She has worked on several committees and projects to forge the vision and mission of JHS," said teachers Marva Cauley, Mary Catherine Woods and Debbie Smith. "Brittney is a positive role model for her peers. She works will in a group setting and demonstrates her responsibilities by always meeting deadlines. Brittney has always done her best in whatever assignment she is doing, and she seeks opportunities to excel and learn."

She is the daughter of Rickey and Mary Hadnot.

Jasper Junior High

Austin Rawls, a seventh grade student at Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as Student of the Week for April 30 - May 4.

"Austin is a hard working student. He stays on task and helps others during group work," said teacher Christina Jackson. "I appreciate his good attitude and enjoy having him for a student in class."

Rawls enjoys participating in several sports during his spare time. His favorite subject is science.

He is the son of Clarence and Melissa Alford.
