Vinton offers chance to view Wall memorial

Bowden American Legion Post 208 will host the American Veterans Traveling Tribute (Viet-Nam Traveling Wall) May 3 - 6 at the post grounds located off I-10 in Vinton, LA.

May 2 the wall arrives at 10 a.m. May 3 opening ceremonies begin at 11:45 a.m. with a B-52 Bomber fly over. May 4 there will be a POW/MIA Candle Light Ceremony at 7:30 p.m. May 5 there is a Gold Star Mothers' Presentation at 6 p.m. A worship service will be May 6 at 8 a.m. and closing ceremonies at 5:30 p.m.

The event is free and is open to the public from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Schools can contact Denise Stigen at 337- 532-4271.
