Walking the halls It is hard to believe that there are only eleven days of school remaining for this year. How quickly this school year has passed. I hope the "walks" we have taken this year have given you a little insight about the many things that have occurred on the junior high campus. As I reflect back and compare the level of maturity that I saw in the students when they first entered junior high with what I see now, I can truly say that I can see growth in their maturity level. A number of the students have had some successes as well as failures. I only hope that these events will make them a better person. They have reached the middle stage of their educational career. They are now what I consider "young adults under construction." Some changes are on the "board" for next year. I hope to share them with the students and parents before the end of this school year. Some students who, for some unknown reason, were not successful during the regular-school year will have the opportunity to participate in our extended year program for advancement to the next grade. I thank all the junior high parents for letting the staff and administration have an active part in your son's/daughter's life this year. So, until next year, have a safe and happy summer. |
